Love Finds You in Revenge, Ohio

"...a delightful read... The strong bond of sisterly love the Morgan women exhibited was refreshing, and the sibling conflict realistic."
As her mother lay dying, Catherine Morgan made a promise to keep the family’s general store running and to care for her three younger sisters. Years later, one sister is married, another engaged, the third close to being engaged, and Catherine wonders if she might finally have some quiet time for herself. But all hopes of peace flee when Corbin Hunter, once her fiancé, returns to town.
Corbin only loved one woman—Catherine Morgan, but after her mother’s death, she called off their engagement and told him she didn’t love him. Now he’s returned to Revenge to find his father’s killer, whom he believes is residing in the area. The one thing he didn’t count on was still being attracted to fiery, independent Catherine. He’s not looking to relive the past. He just wants to catch his man and leave town.
When evidence indicates that the fiancé of Catherine’s sister might be part of the Masked Gang Corbin is hunting, she refuses to believe it’s possible. But as things progress, doubts set in, and she wonders if Corbin might be right. She’ll do anything to protect her sisters, but can she protect her own heart? Is Corbin seeing clearly, or are his eyes blinded with revenge? Is there any hope for two people who are trying to put their past to rest?
Love Finds You in Revenge, Ohio is a delightful read. Catherine is a stubborn, determined heroine. She’ll do anything to protect her younger sisters, including sacrificing her own dreams. When Corbin returns, she refuses to believe they could have a second chance. Corbin is equally as stubborn and focused on his goal of catching the leader of the Masked Gang, the man who not only killed his father, but many other innocent people. I found both of these characters to be very realistic and interesting.
There are plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing, including rumors about the Morgan sisters’ long, lost father who left them to seek his fortune in the Alaskan gold rush. The strong bond of sisterly love the Morgan women exhibited was refreshing, and the sibling conflict realistic. The theme of this book is forgiveness, putting aside revenge, and giving past hurts to God. For an enjoyable read, check out Love Finds You in Revenge, Ohio.
