Love Finds You In Poetry Texas
by Janice Hanna
"A whimsical storyline and colorful townsfolk and heart-warming romances made this book a fun, easy read."
Mayhem & marriages occur when a young woman starts matchmaking
Belinda Bauer doesn’t believe she will ever marry, but that doesn’t stop her from starting a matrimonial service and finding brides for the town’s lonely men. A romantic poem from the local poet helps woo women from the East. Belinda uses a scientific approach to match compatible couples and is excited when the first brides start arriving. But her science doesn’t always prove true, and not every couple is a perfect match.
Georg Kaufman has been friends with Belinda his whole life. He is content to spend his days in his barber shop, cutting hair and chatting with the town’s men folk. He’s never considered marrying, but when Belinda insists he needs a bride and sets about finding one, Georg slowly warms to the idea. Maybe it is God’s will for him to marry, but is this woman Belinda brings to town the perfect mate God has for him?
Love Finds You
In Poetry, Texas is the charming tale of a determined matchmaker. Belinda is a likeable
young woman who wants to see everyone happily married
and sets about making that happen. But good laid plans don’t always
turn out as expected, which happens when some brides in this story don’t
care for the men they were ordered for and decide to chase after someone
else. A whimsical storyline and colorful townsfolk and heart-warming romances
made this book a fun, easy read. In keeping with the title, lines from
classic poets and well-known poems are often quoted. A faith message is
intertwined as Belinda learns that God, and not science, brings couples
together. If you love romance, weddings, and happily ever afters, you’ll
delight in Love Finds You In Poetry, Texas.
