Racing against time and one another, the United States, China, and Russia are seeking to retrieve the ambushed "Angel-12" American satellite . . . all for different reasons. U.S. Sgt. Major Eric Moyer and his Special Ops unit (Blaze of Glory) are deployed to locate the fallen Angel-12 in distant Siberia. Their mission: to keep Angel’s advanced nuclear fuel and technology from enemy hands at all costs.
An onslaught of military and domestic hostage crises adds depth to the
hard-hitting thriller. From the opening lines of the book, the reader will
be completely engaged in the lives of these believable characters.
The view from both the members of the special ops team (Eric, Rich, JJ,
Jose & Crispin) and their respective families makes their stories sobering.
I cannot even begin to fathom the depth of uncertainty and despair that
occurs when a family member is summoned to service. The emotional havoc,
conveyed extremely well within these pages, is not something the reader
should take lightly.
Transitions between the different, yet connected story lines and locations
were well-written and user-friendly to aid in following the multileveled
story. The readers will quickly finds themselves pulling for the team in
their mission and willing them through to victory.
Be aware there are some emotionally disturbing issues necessary to give
the plot its believable realism. This title is not for the faint of heart.
If you like military thrillers like Fallen Angel, Jeff Struecker and Alton
Gansky’s stories are similar to Don Brown’s titles especially
Black Sea Affair and The Malacca Conspiracy.
The dynamic duo of Struecker
and Gansky pen their descriptive stories with the perfect mixture of
humor, suspense and action. The blending of
personalities, demeanor, banter and military procedure within Moyer’s
special ops team is really what makes Fallen Angel work! I recommend it
highly!
