Here With Me by Nate Huss
"Nate Huss brings a fresh new voice to Christian music."
21-year-old Nate Huss got his big break in music at the American Christian Music Showcase competition. His brother had encouraged him to enter, but he didn’t win. On his way out, it was suggested to him by one of the judges to try to place in the vocal competition, which he did. Nate says, “When I won, no one was more shocked than me. I was just floored.” And the rest, they say, is history.
He’s now with Slanted Records for Here With Me, his debut album. His record company had this to say about him: “Nate is an exciting new artist who will connect with audiences with a unique warmth and reality of who he is and the struggles he overcame early in life, to where he is with God and his creativity.”
The youngest of eight adopted children, Nate has a heart for those who are hurting, and he’s putting his money where his mouth is. Some of the proceeds from Here With Me go to help Mercy Ministries which helps young women overcome tough issues like unplanned pregnancies, eating disorders, self esteem problems and more.
Fans of All Star United will enjoy the cd’s opener, “Spotlight”. And I can definitely see the cut “Down to Love” topping the charts across the country. People who like the Newsboys will find the beginning of “You Still Know My Name” (which is my favorite on the album) quite reminiscent of their song “I Am Free”. Listeners who find slower tracks more their style will love the acoustic guitar and strings found on “Hold Me” and “While You Wait”. This project also features the bonus track “Your Own”, which Nate and his brother wrote for their birth mothers. Although this is Nate’s debut cd, his song writing and guitar playing ability are skillfully crafted.
Nate Huss brings a fresh new voice to Christian music. Here With Me may be the first of many Nate Huss records you will enjoy.
