Back and Forth by Lanae Hale

"...a debut that could go up against the latest Miley Cyrus offering in just the enjoyable soft pop songs (Beautiful Things, It’s Over) alone."

With a first name that literally means "Precious and Light", Centricity Music’s Lanae’ Hale’s first full-length album, Back & Forth introduces us to this quirky and honest lyricist who initially didn’t want to air her dirty laundry in public. However, the Lord won out and we, the listener, are given front row seats to this woman’s truest heart.

This silky voiced displaced Floridian (now living in Nashville) has released a debut that could go up against the latest Miley Cyrus offering in just the enjoyable soft pop songs (Beautiful Things, It’s Over) alone. A voice that shows she listened to a little Avril (Lavigne), and Kelly (Clarkson) in the past, some songs reflect the psalm-like intensity of a journey through the darker moments of life (Back & Forth, Here’s my Heart) while others celebrate the freedom, hope and redemption that ultimately follows, like the love song "Let’s Grow Old Together" or the haunting "Headed Home".

Lanae’ explains, “…the songs aren’t all autobiographical, but they are the result of living through some desperate moments and some years of pain, and of making that journey with Christ to find hope and wholeness again. And there are definitely autobiographical elements in there too.”

Lanae’s invitation is for others to experience what it means to feel God pick you up and to know what Grace is. “God literally saved my life…if I can use the platform I have now to tell people that there is hope in Christ, and even beyond that there’s freedom and life abundant, then that’s what I want to do.”

You may Catch Lanae’ on tour this fall in the Back to School tour ‘09 with Aaron Shust and Chris Sligh.

Adrian B. Martinez: "Music and Movies, Movies and Music, always the twain shall meet" is Adrian B. Martinez's motto; a displaced New Yorker living in Connecticut. A complete Movie nut, Adrian was responsible for writing movie synopsis' for Loews Movie Theater's for over 5 years. At any given time that would be a synopsis for over 25 movies in one week. Whew! Nowadays, she is a regular in the Press area for the Creation Festival and Purple Door Festival. To keep her in the lifestyle she has become accustomed, she does web-design for DelMonico Hatter in New Haven, Ct. and serves as a Supervisor for the Hartford Civic Center, also in Ct. An avid traveler, Adrian has been to Europe numerous times and can be seen criss-crossing the United States in her re-furbished 1974 Orange Volkswagen Vanagon which has allowed her to participate in her favorite past-time, meeting new people….When she does take the time to stop, she spends her time with a very handsome man that goes by the name of Zorro. He can be seen sleeping on the couch, bed, bathing in the sunlight on a window ledge or anywhere else that he deems comfortable. Zorro of course, is her cat.
